On the 24th of February we are delighted to be hosting the UK India Digital Water Conference for a Working Group session to explore issues surrounding water and areas of collaboration for solutions.
We face an unprecedented combination of water security and resilience challenges, caused by the cumulative impact of increasing demand, declining resources, pollution and climate change. In order to face these challenges – and to utilise the opportunities that are present – the water sector will need to adapt and embrace these fluctuating circumstances. Adoption of digital approaches, techniques and thought leadership has the potential to play a pivotal role in the journey of innovation, change and transformation.
The Working Group will host companies from both UK and India, comprising a mix of utilities, private companies and water stakeholders, providing a platform for exchange of information on innovations, technologies and products in the digital water space.
The Working Group operates to achieve the following objectives:
Digital Transformation - Exchange of information on new innovations, technologies and products in digital water sector, and modes of financing adoption of such technologies.
Centralised Body of Knowledge - Position the UK as a world-class source for digital technologies and contribute to the India-UK 2030 Roadmap (11.1, 11.4 & 25.1) - Contribute to Clean Growth and Net Zero ambitions of Indian water utilities, and climate ambitions of Indian cities.
Enhanced Trade Relationship - The Project will help in adapting the best practices of clean growth and climate change where the UK’s water utilities have committed to net zero carbon emissions by 2030. The innovations from the supply chain identified, solutions from working group will enhance the strategic relationship approach in India.
Following on from the last UK India Working Group meeting in December 2022, the UK government is committed to supporting the goals and aspirations of this Working Group, to deliver resilient scalable solutions through partnership. This session will explore the problem statements arising from the Indian Water utilities and to come up with a collaborative solution.
Join us for this roundtable session to discuss new innovations, technologies, and collaboration opportunities for UK business in the digital water space and also get a chance to network with Indian delegates.
