British Expertise International are delighted to welcome you to an in-person Skills &Training working group panel session on Wednesday 28th June from 16:00 – 19:00 on ‘Developing Global & Local Qualifications and Accreditations’.
The session will bring together the Department for Business and Trade (DBT) and 4 global leaders in delivering the skills framework and in setting internationally recognised standards: Education and Training Foundation, Advance HE, Ecctis and People 1st.
DBT’s Jonathan Ledger, a Technical and Vocational Education & Training Skills and Professional Bodies Specialist, will present on the wider skills and training international market, as well as the UK’s current challenges in addressing the gaps in the global provision of internationally recognised skills qualifications.
The Education and Training Foundation, the workforce development body for the Further Education and Training sector, will present on their offering on professional standards for leaders, teachers and trainers.
AdvanceHE is a member-led charity of and for the sector that works with partners across the globe to improve higher education for staff, students and society, and they will speak on their experience in delivering frameworks internationally, as well as lessons learnt and what they consider is still needed for the UK to progress in becoming a world leader in delivering global recognised qualifications.
Ecctis is a provider of solutions and services in international education, training, and skills, and in the development and recognition of globally portable qualifications. Ecctis will cover the work they undertake globally to support the internationalisation of education by improving international confidence in non-traditional qualifications and benchmarking against international standards. It will consider some of the key challenges to the recognition of qualifications, and some of the main developments in the international accreditation landscape.
People1stare a local training organisation, offering a range of courses across a variety of subject areas. They will share their experience in developing skills models and standards internationally, as well as their lessons and learnt, and what they believe the UK needs to achieve to become a world leader in delivering globally recognised standards and qualifications.
