On Wednesday 10th May at 14:30 for 15:00-16:30 we will be hosting an in-person meeting with specialists from the World Bank Group for a session on navigating the procurement process and showcasing some of the current procurement opportunities in the sectors of interest to BEI members.
The World Bank is an international financial institution that provides loans, credit, grant, and guarantee financing to governments of low- and middle-income countries, working towards ending extreme poverty and promoting shared prosperity. The World Bank Group’s investment project financing funds activities that create the physical and social infrastructure to achieve these goals alongside accelerating sustainable development and economic growth across sectors and regions.
The session will provide insights in business opportunities with the World Bank Group, including how to navigate the procurement process, and give an update on emerging priorities that are translating into new business in certain sectors and region. It will also highlight new procurement initiatives being rolled out in the coming year, including on topics such as net zero, sustainability, cyber security, and supply chains.
