He is committed to the challenge of increasing trade and investment ties with Africa and is always promoting the tremendous potential of the African subcontinent.
Trade Envoys are a network of Prime Minister appointed Parliamentarians in the Lords and Commons, drawn from across the political spectrum. Trade Envoys engage with one or more emerging markets where substantial trade and investment opportunities have been identified by the UK Government. They work to maximise bilateral trade and their unique position grants them influence over the Government’s priorities for their appointed region. As such, they can be a useful addition to your stakeholder network.
We have organised a series of “members only” private round-table webinars to give members the opportunity to engage with Trade Envoys in a closed roundtable discussion. The event format enables members to brief the Trade Envoys on some of their current priorities in the specific countries/region, the ease of doing business and some of the challenges encountered. The Trade Envoy will also share their insights and experiences on their markets of responsibility, including key opportunities and potential G2G engagement plans which may be of interest.
